Overview
YT Pitch Shifter is a Chrome extension that controls playback speed, pitch, and repeat for YouTube videos. Audio processing runs locally on your device. We do not send audio or viewing information to developer servers.
Information handled

Playback preferences: Speed, manual pitch, speed-pitch sync, and video
loop settings are stored in
chrome.storage.local. -
Temporary session state: Non-sensitive state needed to recover audio
processing and remember which tabs were enabled may be stored in
chrome.storage.session. - Current tab audio: The selected YouTube tab's audio is routed to local Web Audio processing only after you click the extension icon to enable the current tab. Relevant Side Panel settings may retry processing after activation.
- A/B points: Points are held in memory only while the current video element exists and are never stored.
Information we do not collect or transmit
We do not collect or transmit account information, cookies, credentials, audio samples, video URLs, video titles, viewing history, search history, stream IDs, telemetry, analytics, or advertising identifiers. We do not use external APIs, advertising, or remote code.

Retention and deletion
Playback preferences remain on your device until you change or reset them. A/B points are discarded when the video changes. Audio recovery state is discarded when processing stops, and enabled-tab markers are discarded when the tab closes or Chrome restarts. Removing the extension also removes extension data managed by Chrome.
